BIG BAND BASH 2003

It was my first time to hear the band from the United World College and they did not disappoint me with their variety of tunes like "Moanin", "The Chicken", "Cotton Tails" and even the hymn "Just A Closer Walk".

The solo by the young lady guitarist was certainly `bagus' (Malay word for good)!

The band also gave the audience a pleasant surprise when their young and lovely vocalist appeared. Crooning a very upbeat version of "Our Love is Here to Stay" with her smooth and lovely voice, the first vocalist in the show was certainly a refreshing change. Judging from the audience's wows and applause, I believe she is here to stay as well.

Having heard a great new band, we were glad to be treated to another great new band from the Singapore American School.
